Hi, I’m Sheila lewis, a Visual thinking Strategies’ enthusiast who has trained more than 10,000 plus educators since 2017. I’m enthusiastic to promote Visual Thinking strategies and their tools. I’m the only educator in India passionately promoting Doodle For Education.
I began my journey as a Primary Section Teacher in 1996. In my quest for learning, I upgraded my educational and professional qualifications to M.A.(English) B. Ed(English/History) and a double B.A. (English/History). I received the ‘Excellence in Teaching award’ in 2018 by the Rotary Club of Borivali East, Mumbai for my contributions to society through the ‘Interact Club’.
I have collaborated as a resource person with organisations like Indiannica Learning, Teachershelpteachers, Orangeslates, Edmongers, www.educohire.com, www.amoebaeducation.com, CENTA- Centre for Teacher Accreditation, MISA -Members of International School Association , Hi 5 CDC Eduspring, Balaji Eduserve and the like and conducted various ‘Face to Face’ training programmes and webinars for teachers and students, since July 2017.
What is Doodle4Education? Art- integrated education gives a very cliched message about ‘Art’ and sounds intimidating to the masses to draw unto perfection. Through Doodle4Education, I show students and educators, how to:
#make use of purposeful doodles to help learn concepts
#create meaningful stories to record information
#and to retain memory.
Having impacted more than ten thousand educators since December 2020, specifically with the doodle4education mission, I continue to bring more elements of the use of doodling in Education!
